Covid-19 Cancelation Policy

We know this can be a stressful time for families in planning for the summer during a pandemic. Our goal at Edge Hockey Schools is to ease your mind and reassure families that your child’s safety is our primary concern. We have policies in place to help parents that may be hesitant to drop their young child off for the day or simply worried about their health.

We will be following all provincial regulations and will be adhering to all rules. If regulations do not allow parents into the arena at the time of the camp, know that our staff are all trained with your child’s safety as our primary concern. They will be met by their Team Leader every morning at drop off and then will be monitored constantly throughout the day. Groups have a Team Leader, Junior Leader and then multiple other staff members that are monitoring groups.

If Covid forces us to restrict numbers, anyone that has registered past the allowed number will receive a full refund.

If your child is in isolation prior to their camp start date, you will receive a credit for the following year.

If your child has tested positive for Covid and is unable to attend the Hockey School because of quarantine rules or still showing symptoms, we will issue a full refund. A $50 admin fee will be charged.

A medical note will need to be provided in both situations.

If your child begins the camp and then needs to isolate or shows symptoms, there is no refund.

We also require all kids to only attend our Hockey School, and no other camps, the week of their camp due to cohort reasons.

Again, we take the safety of your child seriously and will obey all regulations at the time of the camp. We will work with you to not only make this a fun week for your child, but as stress free for parents as well!

Cancelation Policy

Participants may cancel their enrolment in a school 60 days prior to the start of that school or camp; they will be given a full refund minus a $50.00 administration fee. Medical cancelations with less than 60 days notice must be accompanied by a doctor’s letter and are subject to the $50.00 administration fee.

If an illness or injury occurs during camp, we are unable to refund enrolment.

Assumption of the Risk and Waiver of Liability Relating to Coronavirus/COVID-19

The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. As a result, Alberta Health Services recommend social distancing and have, in many locations, prohibited the congregation of groups of people.

Edge Hockey Schools (Edge) has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however, Edge cannot guarantee that you or your child(ren) will not become infected with COVID-19. Further, attending the Edge Hockey Schools Camps could increase your risk and your child(ren)’s risk of contracting COVID-19.

By completing the registration, you acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that you or your child(ren) may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by attending the summer camps and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. You understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at the Summer Camps may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of yourself and others, including, but not limited to, Edge employees, volunteers, and program participants and their families.

You voluntarily agree and have read and will follow Alberta Health Services Day Camp Protocols along with Edge Hockey School’s Protocols when arriving at the summer camp facility.

You voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to you or your child(ren) including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death, illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that you or your child(ren) may experience or incur in connection with your child(ren)’s attendance at the  Edge Hockey School Summer camps and Registrations (“Claims”).

On your behalf, and on behalf of your children, you hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless Edge, its employees, agents, and representatives, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto. You understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of Edge Hockey Schools, its employees, agents, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after participation in any of Edge Hockey Schools programs.
