The 2012 Winnipeg Edge Hockey School is now open for registrations. The School will be held Aug 13-17, 2012 in Winnipeg, MB. 

2012 was our 7th Annual Hockey School in Winnipeg. The first four years our program operated as the Manitoba Moose Hockey School, and these past few years we have operated under the Edge Hockey School banner. Regardless of the title, you can expect the same great program, along with many of the same amazing staff.

Our Program

The Edge Hockey program is open to male and female players of all levels, aged 6-14. Players are grouped according to their skill level. Start times are between 7:30 - 10:00am and end times are between 3:30 - 6:00pm. Each group has about an 7 hour day.

Daily each group has a morning ice session for 1 hour 15 minutes, an afternoon ice session for 1 hour, 1 hour of off ice conditioning, 1 hour of read & react, 30 minutes of hockey Talk and 30 minutes for lunch. For more details go to the Program page.

For the 6th straight year the Edge Hockey program will held at the River Heights Community Arena, located at 1370 Grosvenor Avenue.  Click here for a map to the arena.

River Heights includes a main Ice surface with 8 dressing rooms, dry pad for our skill sessions, great fields for our conditioning programs and a gym for conditioning on those rainy days, large meeting room for class room sessions and a nice relaxed community feel.

Check-in

Check-in will take place at the River Heights Community Centre from 4:00 - 5:00pm, Sunday August 12th. This is a very short process and provides a chance for each participant and their parents to meet their Team Leader & Junior Leader.You will receive your schedule, jersey and all details you will need for the week ahead. Jersey cresting will be available for an additional fee.

Fun Friday

Friday will be the final day of the hockey school and this is a great day for parents to come down and see what your child has learned throughout the week. This is a fun day for parents, children and staff alike. Your child's schedule is the same but during their afternoon ice time the children will be playing a game to showcase their talents. There will be lots of time to meet and talk with the staff as well.

Cost & Registration 

Cost of registration for the hockey school is $449.00 + GST (includes jersey)

Edge Hockey School's require full payment OR a $100.00 deposit at the time of registration.

Please indicate on the registration form if you are making a full payment or a deposit. All registrations must be paid in full by June 1, 2012. Note: If you pay the deposit with a credit card you will be automatically charged the remaining balance on June 1st 2012.

Receive a $15 discount for each additional child registered in the same family.

Cancellation Policy: Participants may cancel their enrollment in a school 60 days prior to the start of that school or camp; they will be given a full refund minus a $50.00 administration fee. NO cancellations other than medical will be accepted with less than 60 days notice before the start of a school or camp, there are no exceptions to this policy. Medical cancellations with less than 60 days notice must be accompanied by a doctor’s letter and are subject to the $50.00 administration fee.
