The Jason Jaffray Hockey School has just finished the extremely successful 2010 school in Calgary and will have information regarding our 2011 school coming out shortly.

2010 was the first Jason Jaffray Hockey School. Edge Hockey has been hosting hockey schools for 18 years now and Jason Jaffray has been part of Edge Hockey for the past 9 years working as an instructor.

You will not find a better hockey school staff than the one at Edge. We have pro, college and junior players, school teachers, athletic therapist and many more to make the perfect group to teach your child new skills and the love of the game.

Location

We are very excited to be hosting a hockey school in South Calgary. We are in fact back at the same arena where it all began in 1992 with the Theoren Fleury Hockey School at Family Leisure Centre. New name, several renovations and expansions and we have the Trico Centre. Trico Centre modern recreation centre located at 11150 Bonaventure Dr SE.

Trico Centre facilities include 2 NHL size arenas, aquatic centre, 13500 square feet of fitness centre, full size gymnasium, several multipurpose rooms, outdoor fields, restaurant and much more. Edge will take advantage of all this space by providing you with the best hockey school out there.

Our Program

Our Program is open to male and female players aged 6 - 14 all levels. Players are grouped according to their skill level. Start times are between 8:00am - 10:00am and end times are between 4:15 - 6:15pm. Each group has about an 8 hour day.

Daily each group has: a morning ice session for 1 hour 15 minutes, an afternoon ice session for 1 hour, 1 hour of off ice conditioning, 1 hour of read & react, 30 minutes of Hockey Talk and 30 minutes for lunch along with an hour swim just for fun. For more details go to the Program page.

Check-in

Check-in will take place at Trico Centre with Date adn Time TBA. You will receive your schedule, jersey and all details you will need for the week ahead.

This is a very short process and will not affect Mondays schedule. It is also a chance for each participant and their parents to meet their team leader & junior leader. The team leader will be the main person looking after your child all week (no activities take place on Sunday)

Fun Friday

Friday will be the final day of the hockey school and this is a great day for parents to come down and see what your child has learned throughout the week. This is a fun day for parents, children and staff alike. Your child's schedule is the same but during their afternoon ice time the children will be playing a game to showcase their talents. There will be lots of time to meet and talk with Jason as well.

Cost & Registration

Cost of registration for the hockey school is $429.00 + GST (includes jersey).

We require full payment OR a $100.00 deposit at the time of registration. If paying by credit card and you wish to only pay the $100.00 deposit you must indicate that in the comment box or you will be charged the full amount. All registrations must be paid in full by June 1, 2010. We offer a $15.00 discount for each additional child registering in the same family. If paying by cheques please make payable to "Edge Sports Consulting Inc.".

There is an optional hot lunch service ($55.00 + GST) with a balanced menu designed to be pleasing to children. For more details go to the Program page.

Cancellation Policy: Participants may cancel their enrollment in a school 60 days prior to the start of that school or camp; they will be given a full refund minus a $50.00 administration fee. NO cancellations other than medical will be accepted with less than 60 days notice before the start of a school or camp, there are no exceptions to this policy. Medical cancellations with less than 60 days notice must be accompanied by a doctor’s letter and are subject to the $50.00 administration fee.
