Craig Weller Traded to Panthers

Well for the second time this year Craig has been traded, this time right at the trade deadline, going from the Boston Bruins organization to the Florida Panthers. Craig was in limbo for a while after the trade as the Panthers were discussing as to where Craig would end up. They wanted him Florida but with the salary cap issues they were forced to send him to the AHL. Craig ended up with the Chicago Wolves, which really is a lucky break for him. The Wolves are again battling for top spot in the AHL and are look great going into the playoffs.

Craig will continue to battle and wait for his chance to be called back up again next year, however Craig is a free agent this summer so he could end up anywhere. But he will continue to build on the two solid years he has spent in the NHL with the Wild and also the Phoenix Coyotes.

Craig may have changed teams in the NHL but you can all expect the same amazing guy at the Craig Weller Hockey School. Craig being a Calgary born and raised kids really feels a tie to Calgary and it really is his home even if he spends most winters in some hockey town. You will find Craig one of the most caring guys willing to give back to youth. He truly appreciates everything he has and knows how privileged he is to be playing pro hockey for a job.

It will be a different jersey but it will be the same Craig, hope to see you all this summer.
