The 2012 Niedermayer Hockey School is now open for registrations. The School will be held Aug 6-10, 2012 in Cranbrook, BC. 

At Edge Hockey our professional, caring and knowledgeable staff set us apart from other hockey schools. Edge Hockey works with professional hockey players and coaches in the NHL, College and Junior leagues to ensure your child gains the most knowledge and skill in a positive and enjoyable atmosphere. 

Our Program

The Niedermayer Hockey School is open to male and female players of all levels, aged 6-14. Players are grouped according to their skill level. Start times are between 7:30am - 10:30am and end times are between 4:30 - 6:30pm. Each group has about an 8 hour day.

Daily each group has: a morning ice session for 1 hour 15 minutes, an afternoon ice session for 1 hour, 1 hour of off ice conditioning, 1 hour of read & react, 1 hour of cross training and or pool time, 30 minutes of hockey Talk and 30 minutes for lunch. For more details go to the Program page.

Location

The Niedermayer Hockey School in Cranbrook will be held at the Cranbrook Recplex. The Recplex has been home to the school since 2001 and is a multi functional centre that includes NHL size ice, a pool, restaurant, curling rink (used for off ice training), fields and much more.

Check-in

Check-in will take place at the Cranbrook Rec Plex from 4:00 - 5:00pm, Sunday August 5th. This is a very short process and provides a chance for each participant and their parents to meet their Team Leader & Junior Leader.You will receive your schedule, jersey and all details you will need for the week ahead. Jersey cresting will be available for an additional fee.

Thursday Staff Charity Game

Thursday Night will be the Charity Staff Hockey game which will start at 7:00pm and will have all of the staff and some special guests playing in this entertaining hockey game. There will be a silver collection for admission which will all go to charity along with a donation from Edge Hockey. Come out and support a local charity and enjoy a family night out.

Fun Friday

Friday will be the final day of the hockey school and is a great day for parents to come and witness the skills that have been learnt throughout the week. This is a fun day for parents, children and staff alike. Your child's schedule is the same but during the afternoon ice time the children will be playing a game to showcase their talents. There will be lots of time to meet and talk with Rob and Scott as well.

The Niedermayer Hockey School uses and is a huge supporter of the Cranbrook Super 8 Motel.Close to the arena, family friendly and includes a pool, waterslide and hot tub.

Cost & Registration

Cost of registration for the hockey school is $449.00 + HST (includes jersey)

Edge Hockey School's require full payment OR a $100.00 deposit at the time of registration.

Please indicate on the registration form if you are making a full payment or a deposit. All registrations must be paid in full by June 1, 2012. Note: If you pay the deposit with a credit card you will be automatically charged the remaining balance on June 1st 2012.

Receive a $15 discount for each additional child registered in the same family.

Cancellation Policy: Participants may cancel their enrollment in a school 60 days prior to the start of that school or camp; they will be given a full refund minus a $50.00 administration fee. NO cancellations other than medical will be accepted with less than 60 days notice before the start of a school or camp, there are no exceptions to this policy. Medical cancellations with less than 60 days notice must be accompanied by a doctor’s letter and are subject to the $50.00 administration fee.
