Frequently Ask Conditioning Questions

1. Who are the trainers at Edge?

Peder Lodoen and Erika Olsvik are the two head trainers at Edge Conditioning. Peder has been working in the hockey industry for over 15 years now, and worked under Rick Hesketh from the Calgary Flames for a couple years. Erika works full time as a personal trainer in Calgary and has been doing so for over a decade. We have other trainers, yoga instructors and special guest come in throughout the season so please check out staff page for updates.

2. How has your program been built?
Our program has been built and modified over the past decade. Working closely with trainers and players from the NHL we have developed a system that will maximize your time and make you a better athlete. We is constantly updating this program with new ideas and techniques while using a lot of basis. Every move you make at these camps will be focused on making you a better hockey player.

3. How are the groups formed and what are the group sizes?
Our groups are based on the level of hockey you are playing. Most of the pro players will be in a group, junior players in another group, and then midget and bantam players will have their groups. There will be some exceptions to this.

Most of our groups are between 6-8 participants. If numbers increase, rather than making the groups bigger we will add another group. We want the groups small enough to allow for individual attention but also large enough to encourage competition and working together as a team.
